The Active Participation Register is a project that has been developed by Southwest Advocacy Association and Rural Access South West.
The Active Participation Register project aims to empower people with disabilities by providing them with information and giving them opportunities to get more involved in the community, particularly in things like advisory committees, boards and forums where consultation and decision making takes place. The Active Participation Register is essentially an information sharing project that is designed to try to ensure that people with disabilities are made aware of relevant opportunities to participate in community activities, attend community consultations and have a say on issues that they are interested in.
